semi-pointless post about lipstick and tiny irony

it's hard to post when the most exciting thing you wear is lipstick... or maybe not, but I just can't be bothered screwing the camera to the tripod every morning. (<-wishful thinking - that I'd need to so often. maybe every other.) Annnnd I wanna demonstrate the comfies and glories of my pink blatantly fake fake fur coat but there's no one to take pictures of me outside.

Ironical #1: the best (non-base) make-up products I own tend to be something my mother abandoned in the nineties. I love this lipstick - Max Factor in Chilli, whether the shade still exists or not - I love Max Factor by the way - anyway, it's glimmery in a nice way. I don't really like glossy lips but gosh, take glimmery and I don't even care if it's too bright for me!

here, however, gloss, however, unintentional; caused by accidental overdose of near-melted BodyShop lip balm over my usual lipstick (Miss Sporty? idk.)

Ironical #2: the one morning I do my make-up at an hour of decent daylight ends up being the worst-lit, hence me looking like I'm going on stage with a three-kilometre deep auditorium rather than nipping in at school to pick up a book... I honestly don't pay any attention. Apparently natural twilight isn't automatically brighter than your average yellowish light bulb, YES I am full of insight.

...I'm making myself sound SO clumsy at makeup. But remember, any questionable-looking lip outlines are due to angle/bad photoshop/blogger-affected picture quality.

ps. I know my hair is desperate.
pps. Is it my imagination or has blogger reversed the order in which it uploads your pictures?

i'll believe in anything

Yesterday I went shopping with my parents. My mum had promised to buy me a new winter coat but as always, I couldn't find anything while she ended up buying me some smaller things. The shirt is from Vero Moda and the mittens are from H&M; the skirt is old but also from H&M.

I've got a real problem with shopping nowadays, I just don't like anything. It's not about affordability or availability; I can't even find anything to dream of. The main reason my posting about the S/S09 collections was cut short is that apart from Moschino, I found depressingly little to squeal over and couldn't be bothered anymore.

Just for the record, I hate that powder. Love the lipstick though, it was something like £3 but it's just the right colour and doesn't smudge!

Today I'm going to see Wolf Parade at Tavastia. I have no idea what to wear as I was counting on finding a party dress during the weekend. I might just go in my school outfit to be honest since I don't own anything I particularly feel like wearing.

ch-ch-ch...

skirt & shirt H&M, cardigan Only

The skirt with braces = the new jeans! For me anyway :---) I think this skirt is fun to match with different tops, and while having a proper shape it's long enough to be comfortable. (which is not always the combination that I find possible at 6am on a Monday.) It also fills in for my embarrassing lack of variation what comes to different types of occasion. (Don't think I own any clothes that were too dressy for school, for example...) On top of that it definitely encourages me to wear light-coloured tops - the high(-ish) waist and braces together give clearer outlines to both t-shirts and dress shirts. I regret not buying the full-skirt version H&M had in their summer collection not long after I bought this one; I thought it would be too similar to be worth it, but actually, now that the skirt is becoming my standard easy solution, I wouldn't mind the variety.

...Yeah, notice something different? I've been wondering if it would be easier to write in English as I don't have a million different registers. + I enjoy using the language & do dream about being even passably fluent... The previous chapter is actually only a translation, which I usually find hard btw, but it immediately felt less complicated than trying to choose a word in Finnish! sry mothertongue but it's not like I don't use you everywhere else. <3

Besides, I love the word "cardigan".

So this is an experiment at least, we shall see how fast I get tired with this one. Labels will continue to be in Finnish; it does bother me but oh well.

You are allowed - encouraged, actually - to correct me in anything.

Saapasjalkalihapulla

paita & farkut Zara, villatakki äidiltä saatu, saappaat Bronx

(lankkaaminenkin voisi auttaa...)

...mutta vuori on ihanan pehmeä ja lämmin n____n
